2016 Budget Friendly Holiday Gift Guide

I enjoy gift giving, but I do find the holidays hard! I’m one of those gift givers who likes to buy the perfect thing when I think of it. Around the holidays, that doesn’t always happen for me. So I often turn to gift guides for help.

Unfortunately, gift guides do not always take budget into account. I looked at one that had a designer apron listed at $100 and a French Press for $85! I don’t have the monthly income to support this level of gift giving, which is what inspired me to put together a list of gifts I love that are under $25.

budget-friendly

Kitten Keepy Ring Dish by Catbird, $22: This is the perfect gift for any cat loving friend (hint, hint!). I like it because it’s an understated cat relic—it’s dainty and pretty and doesn’t scream “I love cats” in an obvious way. According to the website, each dish is “totally unique” and made from earthenware.

Tapestry Notebook Set by RIFLE PAPER CO., $15: I love Rifle’s designs. Elegant, colorful and always make me smile. There products are high quality, and look like they cost a lot. This set of three notebooks would make a great gift for writers, students or anyone who likes to journal.

4-in-1 Universal Travel Adapter by Flight 001, $25: Shopping for a frequent international flyer this year? I can imagine this adapter would make their lives a little easier! The color coded design makes it easy to use and “adapts” to 150 countries.

Rosy Christmas|Wrapped Gift Set by LUSH, $18.95: Sometimes, I like to encourage pampering. LUSH makes wrapped gift sets around the holidays and they are filled with fun things. The price varies ($12.99 – $299.95), so you can pick your price point. I’ve given this set before and love the way their Rose Jam body wash smells.

Relic Studs by Stella & Dot, $24: My dear friend Brittany introduced me to Stella & Dot jewelry. They make quality and trendy pieces that hit a variety of price points. I have a couple pair of their earrings and have had my eyes on this pair in particular.

EZ DUZ IT Can Opener at Williams & Sonoma, $9.99: Ok, I know a can opener is not the most appealing of gifts, but hear me out! If you know someone complaining about how terrible their can opener is, this is perfect for them. I bought one a couple holiday seasons ago and it rules.

The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook, $21.08: Speaking of gifts for those who like to spend time in the kitchen, this cookbook by Deb Perelman would make a great gift. If you don’t know about the Smitten Kitchen blog, I highly suggest checking it out.

Monogramed Make Up Bag by Highway12Designs, $17.95: This classic looking makeup bag is too cute. Love the preppy style and the monogram is a nice touch.

Custom Wine Glass by DrinkBliss, $12.00+: I’ve ordered a couple wine glasses from this Etsy shop. The owner is happy to customize any detail of the order. I had her print “Yoga, Wine, Netflix” on a previous glass.
