My blog started after a couple years of graduate school. The massive amounts of research and deep thinking had taken my passion for writing right out of me. Like one of my favorite heroines Alice in Through the Looking Glass I had lost my “muchness.” I felt exhausted, burned out and like giving up writing all together.
That’s when I decided to move to New York City, a decision that literally changed everything. New York still feels like the Rabbit Hole, a tunnel leading me to some big adventure. I embarked on a nearly three year job search, the treacherous territory of online dating, beat cancer and confronted a lot of personal issues I’d avoided for years.
My reality shaped With Muchness into an outlet wherein I could share my story. I realized my passion was actually in talking about my life and what I’ve learned along the way. I also have a thing for this magical city, so I write about it from time to time too.
This blog continues to be a place for me to find my courage, personal trust and creative daring. Really though, it’s about discovery, and I’m learning who I am one post at a time.
