My Favorite Sephora Finds

I recently became a VIB Sephora member, which means that I’ve spent more money on beauty products than I should have in the past year. But, as I’ve never been given a “very important” status before, it is a title I boast about proudly. So I’ve tried a lot of different products from Sephora over the years. Today, I’m sharing some of my very favorite finds with you.

Smash Box Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Screen Shot, $28: I appreciate the palette’s versatility. While it’s only three colors, there are different looks to try. The shadow wears pretty well all day, but I have to use an eye shadow primer so it doesn’t collect in the crease. It’s also my go to palette for a day to night transformation after work. Sadly, this trio seems to have been discontinued. Hopefully they’ll bring it back! But the colors in the palette are: Nectar (soft matte peach), Cinnamon Toast (soft shimmery bronze) and Roast (reddish brown with gold flecks).

Eye Art Artist’s Palette by Laura Mercier, $55: This is my other favorite eye shadow palette, which I splurged on two summers ago. There is no creamer eye shadow in the world—Laura does it right! The product builds well for a more subtle or dramatic look. It also blends well, but requires a little more effort and patience to do so. This is the palette I use to create a solid smokey eye.

Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade in Soft Brown & Brush #12, $36 for both ($18 a piece): Putting color on the eyebrows is intimidating. It can go from bad to worse very quickly! This changed for me after discovering the DIPBROW Pomade and Brush #12. The pomade spreads out evenly, resulting in a very natural look. That said, I’d suggest going to Sephora and asking for help in picking the right shade. After using the pomade for almost two years, I only just purchased the #12 brush, and I am kicking myself for not spending the money sooner. The fine tip end applies the pomade precisely and the spooley brush blends it beautifully. The pomade also keeps your brows in place all day (basically, if you buy any thing from this list, this is it!). Also, if you want to learn more about perfecting your eyebrows, check out this excellent tutorial from my beauty guru Lisa Eldridge.

Murad Refreshing Cleanser, $36: Before discovering this gem of a cleanser, my skin always looked red and irritated. I also have very sensitive skin and mild rosacea. I’d tried many “gentle” cleansers that didn’t clean my skin. Then a wonderful man at Sephora recommended this Murad cleanser for its gentle formula and texture. It rules. This cleanser does everything it says it will do: softens, soothes and cleans.

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil, $21 – $40: I got a sample of this Invisible Oil last year. My hair is super fine, oily and prone to fly aways. I’d tried several products to help tame the frizz, but they were all too heavy. But the invisible oil is the lightest product, minimizes frizz and doesn’t make my hair more oily. And, best of all, you’ll only need one pump!

Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink, $33: This lip balm is expensive and worth every penny. I have a hard time keeping my lips moisturized, especially in the winter. It last for hours and enhances the natural color of my lips. It sort of looks like I have lipstick on, but I don’t!

Sephora Collection Instant Nail Polish Remover, $9.50: For those who never leave home without painted nails, this nail polish remover is a must. Simply insert each finger into the pot, and the nail polish magically dissolves. It saves time and has a gentle formula.
